Cybersolution meet with stakeholders on National Cybercrime ConferenceThe Consul General of the United States of America, Donna M. Blair honourably invited the Chief Executive officer of Global network of Cybersolution (Cybersolution) to its annual cocktail reception in honour of CTO 2008 Exhibitors and the their visiting U.S Associates on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi, Lagos. The cocktail was sponsored by Fidelity Bank and chaired by Amb. Robin Sanders, Embassy of the United States of America. The Cybersolution Chief, Mr Segun Olugbile in presence of Mr. Chris Uwaje (its poineering President) used the occasion to brief MD of Fidelity Bank PLC, Mr. Reginald Ihejiahi, Rotimi Fashola, deputy MD Industrial &general Insurance Plc, Mr. Larry Farris, the commercial counselor ,and Mr. Anayo Agu, Senior Commercial Specialist of the US Consulate General on the forthcoming 3days National Conference on CyberCrime & Cybersecurity with the overall theme: “National Digital Security: Engaging the Challenges of Digital Criminality, & the Future of Nigeria” – The Role of Federal Government,
He stressed that this National Conference will take place at the Nicon Luxury Hotel (formerly Le-meridian Hotel), Abuja, 28-30th July 2008. According to him;
"The National Conference is part of our strategic mission of addressing the alarming rate of financial sector institutional and enterprise cybercrime in Africa, Nigeria in particular which demands better understanding of socio-economic impact analysis as it affect our national critical economic infrastructures and sectors.
The National Conference is expected to be facilitated by Local and Global Cybersecurity Resource Personnel drawn from the Directorate for Cybersecurity (DFC)Presidency, Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Cybercrime Unit, NITDA, Nigeria Copyright Commission, Cybersolution Nigeria, Gartner Inc USA, Symantec Group Africa, E-commerce Councils, Cybersecurity Industrial Alliance (CSIA), Microsoft Inc. USA, Global E-Commerce Council on Cybersecurity with many years of experience and exposure to the emerging global digital criminality and evolving digital security within the African states and Nigeria in particular.
